The primary objective was to design a tranquil and cozy space, with ample storage to conceal belongings. To achieve this, arch shapes and round edges were incorporated, adding softness to the area.
After careful planning, we ensured that the owners' lifestyle was accommodated, and the space flowed cohesively. The result is a serene and inviting haven, with an effortless blend of functionality and aesthetics.
In their pursuit of an exotic ambiance, the owners wished to infuse their home with the cultural aesthetics of their favourite travel destination, Bali. Inspired by the earthy mood of natural materials, such as Ash wood and rattan, they desired to create a sanctuary within their home.
We implemented arches and curves to soften the irregular shape of the space in order to add an organic touch. The natural pieces used in the decor accentuated the exotic ambiance, reminded the owners on a sensory journey to their beloved Bali.
With this approach, we created a space that fully embraced the owners' desire for an escape from the mundane and the perfect oasis for recharging and rejuvenation.
The original diamond shape layout was the biggest challenge to tackle, since the shape and the structure has restricted the space allowed to be work on.
One of the primary challenges was to fit a king-size bed, a bathtub, and wardrobe storage within half of the apartment. Despite this, we developed a layout that allowed each element to seamlessly blend together.
To contrast the bustling cityscape outside, we focused on creating a bright and neutral atmosphere, with unconventional elements.
